This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Oversee and/or cultivate business within a designated territory.
• Share sales progress updates with the sales team and upper management.
• Enhance sales through specifications, distributors, contractors, and developers by engaging key clients.
• Foster relationships, oversee significant projects, and boost product visibility and success.
• Regularly contact distributor sales, operations, specification personnel, and other irrigation experts.
• Generate product demand to support distribution in achieving sales targets.
• Identify and monitor golf irrigation projects throughout the entire sales process.
• Eliminate barriers to the end user’s decision to purchase a Hunter system.
• Implement customer training programs, participate in trade shows, and organize promotional events.
• Maintain Hunter CRM software, including Salesforce, for the assigned territory.
• Provide field service and support as needed.
• Manage warranty policies and procedures when applicable.
• Suggest customer modifications and inform management of territory happenings and pertinent information.
• Notify management of significant changes impacting customers’ business landscapes.
• Propose individual budget needs and oversee expenditures within budget constraints.
• Submit timely expense reimbursement requests.
• Assist in gathering market data for forecasts and reports, including regional, competitive, and contractor pricing, as well as area programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Landscape Architecture is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in professional sales or a technical support role is preferred.
• Experience in the golf industry is essential.
• Familiarity with selling, pricing, marketing, and distribution models within the industry.
• Strong selling and presentation abilities, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
• Capacity to articulate and promote the features and advantages of all Hunter products, along with conducting related training and educational programs.
• Firm commitment to customer service excellence.
• Technical understanding of company and competitor products.
• Capability to perform field service, troubleshoot systems, recommend solutions, and demonstrate side-by-side product comparisons.
• Understanding of financial and budgeting procedures.
• Ability to manage expenses within budgetary limits.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English.
• Capacity to establish and maintain positive working relationships while providing high-quality customer service and support.
• Active participation in golf industry associations at both regional and national levels.
• Willingness to travel extensively, reside in a strategic location within the territory, and work flexible hours.
• Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Windows programs, word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.
• Valid driver's license and driving record that meet company insurance standards.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport.
• Advanced-level technical expertise and certifications relevant to the product are preferred.
• Fluency in other languages commonly spoken in the region is preferred.
• Awareness of regional business and cultural practices is preferred.
