This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France, +1 more country.
• Drive profitable growth and foster strategic customer relationships throughout Africa and the Nordics in the Filtration sector.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and provide educational guidance to both internal and external teams regarding preventive measures.
• Enhance profitable sales across both existing and new accounts by effectively managing volumes, revenues, and pricing strategies.
• Define and implement a commercial strategy for approximately 140 customers with support from Marketing and Technical teams.
• Prepare budget proposals, commercial conditions, and initiatives aimed at improving profitability.
• Negotiate price adjustments, surcharge implementations, share of wallet, and commercial packages with legal assistance.
• Conduct regular customer visits, dedicating up to 50% of travel time to regions across Africa and Northern Europe.
• Document sales interactions and visits in CRM systems and compile monthly performance analyses.
• Monitor and address significant customer complaints while communicating necessary corrective actions.
• Enhance cash collection, Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), and payment terms.
• Collect market intelligence regarding mineral consumption, performance requirements, competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
• Generate innovative product ideas for the innovation pipeline.
• Seek out and secure new customers and cross-selling opportunities.
• Prepare, oversee, and ensure the accuracy of budgets and forecasts for Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and finance.
• Relevant experience in the Filtration industry, specialized distributors, or the chemicals sector in general, including specific markets such as Bleaching Earth.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Sales Manager role.
• At least 5 years' experience in Sales, Account Management, or Business Development.
• Strong customer orientation.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
• Solid business acumen and a keen technical interest.
• Good understanding of fundamental financial and legal principles.
• Outgoing, results-driven, with a focus on impact and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to positively influence others without direct authority.
• Degree in Engineering or Business.
• Professional proficiency in English is mandatory.
• Fluency in French is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of additional Western European languages (e.g., German, Spanish, Italian) is a plus.
• Flexibility to travel within Western Europe; candidates based in France are preferred, but applications from across Western Europe are encouraged.
• Full-time permanent employment.
• Up to 50% travel time across Africa and Northern Europe.
