This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.
• Assist in implementing Nearfield’s growth strategy within Japan.
• Discover and nurture new opportunities among semiconductor manufacturers and ecosystem partners.
• Establish Nearfield’s footprint in the Japanese market.
• Forge and sustain relationships with stakeholders in engineering, procurement, and mid-to-senior management.
• Aid in engaging with senior stakeholders alongside global or senior team members.
• Convert customer requirements into value propositions with the support of the technical team.
• Take part in discussions regarding technical solutions, timelines, and commercial agreements.
• Assist in complex and extended sales processes.
• Contribute to negotiations and the advancement of deals.
• Act as the voice of the customer within Nearfield.
• Foster long-term partnerships with key accounts.
• Provide insights into market trends and competition.
• Support commercial growth and pipeline development initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with Product, Engineering, Applications, and Marketing teams.
• Align customer needs with Nearfield’s strategic roadmap.
• Facilitate communication between Japanese customers and international teams.
• Travel regularly to semiconductor hubs and customer sites throughout Japan.
• Proven experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales, or Account Manager within the semiconductor sector.
• Experience engaging with customers in semiconductor manufacturing or associated industries.
• Familiarity with capital equipment, metrology, or high-tech environments is advantageous.
• Capability to manage sales processes involving multiple stakeholders.
• In-depth understanding of Japanese business culture.
• Excellent communication and commercial acumen.
• Proficient in both Japanese and English at a business level.
• Residing in Japan.
• Comfortable establishing relationships across varying levels of stakeholders.
• Able to work independently while closely collaborating with internal teams.
• Strong communication skills to link technical topics with customer requirements.
• Willingness and ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
• Qualified to access controlled technologies, systems, or customer environments in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
