This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Promote Corporate Payment Solutions to Middle Market prospects in order to enhance market reach and boost company profitability.
• Conduct cold calls to businesses, evaluate their fit and stability, and qualify potential clients.
• Identify lead opportunities within the designated territory.
• Investigate companies and assess customer stability and potential.
• Engage with customer organizations to discover objectives and key decision-makers.
• Build executive-level and cross-departmental relationships with customers.
• Create and deliver presentations effectively.
• Oversee and document the sales process and customer details.
• Collaborate with card operations, sales support/pricing, and technical service teams to create product offerings and finalize deals.
• Work alongside Amex sales teams to facilitate cross-selling and lead generation.
• Gain knowledge of and sell technical and alternative products/services to enhance penetration and account profitability.
• Share best practices and contribute to team success and market share growth.
• Position and market Amex segment value propositions and products in line with customer requirements.
• Manage the final sales presentations.
• Complete contracts with necessary corporate service and legal approvals.
• Lead the implementation of new customer accounts alongside account managers and operations teams.
• A university degree or equivalent qualification.
• Over 3 years of experience in sales or account management, specifically selling premium priced products to corporate clients.
• Familiarity with financial accounting, Information Systems, procurement systems, and Enterprise Resource Planning.
• Strong knowledge of B2B sales of Corporate Payment Solutions to C-level executives.
• Excellent analytical skills coupled with financial insight.
• Ability to think strategically and maintain a big-picture focus.
• Experience in consultative selling.
• Capability to manage selling cycles and achieve immediate results.
• A competitive spirit, adaptability, and persistence.
• Proven track record of setting and accomplishing ambitious goals.
• Skill in managing time, priorities, and projects with accuracy.
• Ability to cultivate and utilize internal and external partnerships.
• Proficiency in networking and developing relationships with senior executives and decision-makers.
• Strong negotiation abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in delivering complex presentations using technical tools.
