This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +6 more states.
• Oversee the implementation of commercial and go-to-market strategies within the Lumber sector.
• Convert business priorities into practical sales plans, performance metrics, and measurable results.
• Propel daily sales activities across various regions, channels, and customer segments.
• Ensure the consistent application of pricing strategies, customer targeting, value messaging, and sales methodologies.
• Track sales performance and address any gaps to meet growth targets.
• Collaborate with Marketing on initiatives for demand generation, contractor engagement, and distribution expansion.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of nine sales professionals.
• Conduct performance evaluations, pipeline assessments, and coaching sessions.
• Set clear expectations and promote execution excellence.
• Identify skill gaps and implement development strategies.
• Work alongside Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Finance to ensure customer fulfillment and execution.
• Supply market insights, customer feedback, competitive analysis, and execution recommendations to leadership.
• Facilitate the adoption of sales tools, processes, and business initiatives.
• Participate in the Lumber leadership team, representing commercial performance, market trends, and talent development priorities.
• Utilize sales analytics, forecasting, and performance metrics to inform decision-making and drive growth.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of sales experience, ideally within the building materials, manufacturing, or comparable industries.
• Proven track record in leading, coaching, and developing sales teams.
• Demonstrated ability to translate commercial strategies into actionable sales execution plans.
• In-depth knowledge of forecasting, pipeline management, pricing execution, and customer negotiations.
• Experience in leveraging data and performance metrics to influence business decisions and sales execution.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and foster partnerships across various functions.
• Willingness to travel 60-70% of the time.
• Preferred: Experience in lumber, building materials, roofing, or construction product industries; familiarity with distribution, dealer, contractor, or multi-channel sales models; a track record of driving sales growth and enhancing execution; experience in leading teams through growth, market expansion, or organizational changes; financial and commercial understanding; capability to navigate matrixed environments and lead through influence.
