
Sales Engineer – Western Region

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Deliver customer support along with technical and mechanical sales assistance.
• Identify and cultivate new technical expertise and commercial opportunities for products, systems, and the HVAC market.
• Engage directly with customers and sales representatives to gather technical, project, and product specifications.
• Follow up with clients regarding the status and updates of project releases.
• Develop and prepare technical proposals that address product solution specifications.
• Create and submit cost summaries with relevant specifications and applications.
• Offer technical support to sales representatives, engineers, mechanical contractors, and customers.
• Maintain documentation related to price quotes, decisions, progress, and activity outcomes.
• Address customer inquiries with cost-effective solutions.
• Advocate for the Williams brand.
• Collaborate with Williams engineers and production teams to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and service.
• Keep up-to-date knowledge of Williams products and customer applications.
• Conduct business with minimal supervision.
• Provide written and verbal updates to sales representatives, associates, customers, clients, and project managers.
• Assist in creating and implementing best practices and procedures.
• Communicate and collaborate with staff to ensure successful project completion and customer satisfaction.
• Utilize established standards and procedures for project reporting documentation.
• Maintain agency certification data reporting.
• Prepare and present project status updates to management.
• Consult with management and evaluate project proposals against objectives, timelines, funding constraints, and necessary resources.
• Offer leadership, motivation, and mentoring to associates, representatives, and customers.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Experience in the HVAC industry is essential, ideally in sales or manufacturer representation.
• An engineering degree, or considerable technical expertise obtained through intensive HVAC training.
• Proficient in using personal computers and web-based applications.
• A bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• Over 5 years of experience with hydronic systems and/or applied HVAC products is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience and understanding of the HVAC fan coil sector is preferred.
• Candidates located in the Western region of the US are encouraged to apply.
