This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Take charge of the account strategy for Walmart and Sam's Club, effectively translating ~Pourri's vision into a successful collaborative business plan.
• Establish and nurture robust relationships with Walmart buyers, merchants, and key decision-makers.
• Oversee and guide broker partners as a part of the ~Pourri team, setting expectations, accountability, and performance metrics.
• Lead line reviews, category resets, promotional planning, and the launch of new items.
• Create innovative growth strategies and pinpoint opportunities to enhance ~Pourri's presence within Walmart and Sam's Club.
• Manage account forecasting, trade spend, deductions, promotional investments, and the overall profitability of the account.
• Supervise the Walmart sales forecast and work in collaboration with Supply Chain, Finance, and Demand Planning to ensure inventory and production align with demand.
• Analyze Retail Link, Luminate, POS, and other retail data to discover opportunities and proactively mitigate risks.
• Negotiate pricing, promotions, assortments, and business terms that foster growth while safeguarding profitability.
• Act as the primary liaison between Walmart and internal teams, ensuring cohesive alignment across Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Leadership.
• Mentor broker partners on brand standards, priorities, and execution expectations.
• Provide leadership with clear, data-driven updates regarding account performance, opportunities, challenges, and market trends.
• 7+ years of experience in CPG sales with direct management of Walmart accounts.
• Demonstrated success in managing Walmart buyer relationships and leading annual Joint Business Planning (JBP) processes.
• Proven experience in account forecasting, trade spend, promotional planning, deductions, and P&L performance.
• Strong experience in broker management with a history of achieving results through external partners.
• Extensive knowledge of Walmart systems, including Retail Link, Luminate, and Item 360.
• Experience in entrepreneurial, founder-led, high-growth, or challenger brands is preferred.
• Ability to utilize data and insights to uncover growth opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
• Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with CRM, forecasting, and trade management platforms.
• Experience with AI-enabled forecasting, planning, or analytics tools is advantageous.
• Sam's Club experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with Scintilla, Circana, and/or Nielsen is preferred.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Equivalent experience in managing major retail accounts will also be taken into account.
• Willingness to travel approximately 30%, including regular visits to Walmart's Home Office in Bentonville, AR, customer meetings, broker meetings, and company events.
