This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +6 more states.
• Deliver technical sales execution to the Channel team, channel partners, technical support, product engineering, R&D, and end customers.
• Utilize ABB Low Voltage drive and PLC/HMI product expertise to address product applications and general LV drive and motor application challenges.
• Craft and propose customized solutions grounded in portfolio and capability knowledge.
• Contribute to specifications by negotiating deviations and reaching mutually beneficial solutions.
• Recognize and convey the relevance of new or emerging functional solutions.
• Provide guidance on delivering high-quality solutions by leveraging extensive professional expertise.
• Enhance existing customer relationships while establishing connections with prospective clients.
• Address customer complaints in accordance with a defined protocol.
• Assess and fulfill customer needs while seeking feedback.
• Employ fundamental sales techniques, such as effective communication, active listening, and presentation skills.
• Assist customer presentations and demonstrations as the product authority.
• Investigate drive, PLC/HMI, and motor application issues and implement effective remedies.
• Coordinate efforts with related teams to meet objectives and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Support the Motion Drive Products division's channel and distribution sales partners within the assigned territory.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field, along with 4+ years of experience in Low Voltage drive applications, including basic knowledge of Compressors, Pump & Fan, Extruder, Crane, Hoists & Winches, Centrifuge, General Machinery, and other applications; OR an Associate’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field with 6+ years of experience in the same area.
• Outstanding technical application and communication abilities.
• Familiarity with Serial and Ethernet communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, ProfiNet, etc.).
• Programming experience with industrial PLCs (such as ABB, Rockwell, Siemens, Square D, or others).
• Capability to read, analyze, and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
• Ability to address common inquiries or complaints from customers, vendors, regulatory bodies, or members of the business community.
• Valid driver’s license and passport with the capacity to travel over 50% of the time to customer and end user locations.
• Must already hold work authorization allowing legal employment with ABB in the United States.
