This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Facilitate the uniform implementation of EHS risk-reduction initiatives across designated SC markets and Specialty locations.

• Implement EHS tools and methodologies developed at the center into field operations.

• Coordinate local leadership with annual EHS strategies that support the overall EHS approach.

• Enhance local EHS capabilities for risk assessment and control.

• Offer proactive technical and regulatory EHS support while resolving issues.

• Conduct EHS program audits and assist with site-specific self-assessments.

• Mentor and instruct site personnel in both classroom and practical environments.

• Introduce new leaders to EHS responsibilities and related systems.

• Monitor and aid in site-level EHS activities, which include incident management, DriveCam events, training, and compliance follow-up.

• Oversee assigned EHS incident investigations and address Ethics Line concerns as needed.

• Assist with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulatory engagements.

• Contribute to company-wide EHS initiatives.

• Promote ethical standards, advocate for employees, and foster a “We Care” culture.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in Engineering, Science, or an EHS-related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Professional certifications (CSP, CIH, PE) or the ability to obtain certification is advantageous.

• A minimum of 5–7 years of experience in manufacturing, foodservice, and/or distribution sectors.

• Experience in supporting Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Transportation Safety, and/or Environmental Management.

• Experience with multi-site responsibilities and in unionized environments is preferred.

• Familiarity with EHS federal and state laws and regulations, including OSHA, DOT, and EPA.

• Understanding of industry benchmarking metrics.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, encompassing Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.

• Capacity to manage competing priorities and perform effectively under pressure.

• Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, facilitation, organizational, project management, analytical, and stakeholder-influence skills.
