SaaSOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +6 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop and modify Azure and AWS infrastructure utilizing Terraform.

• Create and sustain GitHub Actions pipelines for deploying applications and infrastructure.

• Provision, upgrade, and dismantle customer environments as needed.

• Manage Windows Server operations, including Remote Desktop Services, IIS, Active Directory, and Group Policy.

• Oversee SQL Server and Azure SQL tasks, including patching, backups, restores, and performance management.

• Automate repetitive operational tasks using PowerShell.

• Participate in on-call duties, respond to incidents, identify root causes, and prepare Root Cause Analyses (RCAs).

• Implement least-privilege access controls, gather SOC 2 evidence, and maintain runbooks.

• Collaborate daily with Engineering, Support, and Security teams.

• Report to the Director of SaaSOps, contributing to platform build, change, and monitoring practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years as a cloud engineer managing production workloads on Azure or AWS.

• Experience in deploying and changing production infrastructure using Terraform through CI/CD pipelines.

• Proven experience in automating tasks with PowerShell in production environments.

• Hands-on experience with SQL Server or Azure SQL, including backup, restore, and performance troubleshooting in production settings.

• Experience with on-call duties, with the ability to diagnose root causes and create actionable RCAs.

• Availability to work from 08:00 to 17:00 ET, Monday through Friday, and participate in the after-hours on-call rotation.

• Proficient in English at C1 level or higher, both spoken and written.

• Capability to operate as an independent contractor.

• Willingness to commence work within one month of receiving an offer, and no later than December 31, 2026.
