SaaSOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Peru, +6 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop and modify Azure and AWS infrastructure using Terraform.

• Create and sustain GitHub Actions pipelines for both application and infrastructure deployments.

• Provision, upgrade, and dismantle customer environments as needed.

• Manage Windows Server environments (Remote Desktop Services, IIS, Active Directory, Group Policy) and SQL Server / Azure SQL, including tasks such as patching, backups, restorations, and performance optimization.

• Automate repetitive operational tasks utilizing PowerShell.

• Participate in on-call duties, address incidents, identify root causes, and document root cause analyses (RCAs).

• Implement least-privilege access, gather SOC 2 evidence, and ensure runbooks are kept up-to-date.

• Collaborate daily with Engineering, Support, and Security teams, reporting to the Director of SaaSOps.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a cloud engineer managing production workloads (compute, managed databases, identity, networking) on Azure or AWS.

• Proven experience in deploying and modifying production infrastructure using Terraform via CI/CD pipelines that you have either built or maintained.

• Proficient in writing PowerShell automation that is utilized in production environments.

• Experience running SQL Server or Azure SQL in production, including tasks such as backups, restorations, and performance troubleshooting.

• Experience with production on-call duties, managing incidents from initial evidence to a single root cause, and creating actionable written RCAs for teammates.

• Availability to work from 08:00 to 17:00 ET, Monday to Friday, and participate in the after-hours on-call rotation.

• Proficient in professional English at a C1 level or above, both spoken and written.

• Able to work as an independent contractor and available to start within one month of receiving an offer, but no later than December 31, 2026.
