This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.
• Oversee and engage in the maintenance of rotating equipment.
• Provide suggestions to enhance maintenance and overhaul costs for equipment.
• Collaborate with and lead maintenance efforts, whether involving OEMs or not, to boost equipment reliability and availability.
• Direct and assist with onsite overhauls and repairs of significant rotating machinery, particularly GOX compressors.
• Work alongside operations and engineering teams to address and mitigate recurring equipment challenges.
• Develop and revise policies, procedures, job plans, overhaul tactics, inspections, and troubleshooting guidelines for rotating equipment.
• Analyze preventive and predictive maintenance data, such as vibration, oil, temperature, and mechanical inspection results.
• Engage with intercompany specialists, vendors, and OEMs.
• Take part in risk evaluations for large rotating equipment.
• Suggest essential spare parts and inventory quantities.
• Assess new and refurbished critical spare parts.
• Organize equipment refurbishments and rotor/wheel balancing at vendor locations or machine shops.
• Participate in Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs).
• Offer technical assistance to field locations regarding troubleshooting, inspection techniques, and repair methods.
• Support maintenance schedules and budgets for facilities and zones.
• Adjust maintenance strategies based on RCA, FMEA, and industry benchmarks.
• Develop, review, and authorize overhaul and maintenance job plans in CMMS.
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
• Ability to work remotely.
• Over 10 years of technical experience in the operation, troubleshooting, and design of rotating equipment.
• In-depth knowledge of compressors, turbines, pumps, and fans utilized in air separation, CO2, and H2 manufacturing processes.
• Comprehensive understanding of oxygen compression equipment, including oxygen cleanliness standards.
• Expertise in lubrication practices.
• Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and project planning software.
• Strong planning and organizational abilities.
