Roof Curb Field Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Travel to commercial and industrial job sites to accurately measure existing structures and openings for new product installations, or travel on-site to address product issues as necessary.

• Generate comprehensive field reports, sketches, and photographic documentation of site conditions, encompassing dimensions, obstructions, and structural specifics.

• Relay measurement inconsistencies, site challenges, or necessary design alterations to the Sales and Engineering teams.

• Maintain and calibrate measuring and field documentation tools, including laser distance meters, cameras, and tablets.

• Adhere to company safety protocols and site-specific safety guidelines.

• Support Sales with technical assistance, pre-bid site walkthroughs, and project feasibility evaluations.

• Provide assistance to the production floor as required once field measurement tasks are completed.

• Deliver hands-on troubleshooting and coordinate with customers to resolve field-related issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a travel-intensive field role.

• Strong ability to read, interpret, and work from architectural and construction drawings (blueprints).

• Proficiency in using measuring instruments, including tape measures, levels, and laser distance measurement devices.

• Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.

• Competent with mobile devices, tablets, and basic CAD/sketching software for field documentation.

• Proficient experience in welding is required.

• Welding certifications are preferred.

• Must reside in the Chicago metro area.

• Willingness to travel as necessary.

• Capability to work hands-on in a manufacturing setting.

• Ability to influence others without direct authority.

• Must be able to load, unload, and manage a 65 lb. extension ladder.

• Must be capable of carrying a 30 lb. tool bag.

• Must be able to work in temperature conditions ranging from 0°F to 100°F.

• Ability to engage with customers and coordinate the necessary steps to resolve issues.

• Clean driving record and possession of a real ID.
