Roadside Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Respond to roadside assistance requests and evaluate circumstances

• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues

• Perform repairs on-site when it is safe and feasible

• Determine whether to proceed with repairs or arrange for recovery

• Coordinate professional recovery services and dealer workshop support as necessary

• Communicate effectively with customers, managing expectations and providing reassurance

• Operate and uphold a fully equipped service vehicle

• Oversee tools and spare parts inventory

• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain precise system documentation

• Achieve service, safety, and quality benchmarks

• Work efficiently to meet attainable targets

• Responsibly utilize AI, machine learning, data analytics, and cloud-based tools while adhering to data governance, security, and ethical-use practices

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a vehicle or roadside technician capable of working autonomously on-site

• Strong skills in diagnostics and fault identification using modern tools

• Confident and composed communication with customers

• Proficient in using IT systems, mobile applications, and diagnostic software

• Valid UK driving license and comfort in operating a fully equipped vehicle

• Relevant technical credentials, such as a manufacturer apprenticeship or equivalent City & Guilds Parts I & II, NVQ/B-Tech diploma

• Existing EV qualifications are welcomed, or the willingness to complete EV Level 3 IMI Accredited and ATA Level 3 roadside diagnostics training

• Flexibility to work rotating shifts between 7am and 10pm, including some weekends and Bank Holidays

• Ability to travel across Plymouth or Belfast and surrounding regions
