Risk Claims Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct personal investigations and oversee the company's claims.

• Collaborate with insurance providers to establish claim reserves.

• Recognize claims that need escalation and compile pertinent information for resolution.

• Manage claims related to property damage, auto incidents, and workers' compensation.

• Address significant losses, retain and guide defense counsel, and participate in mediations and depositions as necessary.

• Deliver customer service to insured individuals and claimants via phone.

• Generate statistical reports on claims activity and submit findings and reports.

• Lead reviews of claim files as requested.

• Ensure that appropriate actions are taken to reduce claim losses and comply with relevant regulations.

• Maintain a professional and collaborative demeanor in communications with all staff.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of seven (7) years of comprehensive claims experience in a senior-level, individual contributor role.

• In-depth understanding of liability claims administration, with a focus on litigation avoidance.

• Strong grasp of complex medical treatments, treatment outcomes, tort law, venue considerations, and jurisdictional issues.

• Highly developed investigative and analytical skills.

• Proven ability to make independent decisions, solve problems, and negotiate effectively.

• Capability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical abilities.

• Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet applications.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel is preferred.
