Revenue Recovery Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +18 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee inventory management for various clients dealing with intricate denials.

• Address new and priority accounts within a 48-hour business timeframe.

• Manage aged and high-value accounts to facilitate effective revenue cycle recovery.

• Evaluate accounts that need in-depth review by coding and utilization departments.

• Recognize and resolve denials to ensure timely payments for clients.

• Prepare and submit appeals along with necessary documentation.

• Maintain clear, concise, and thorough notes during the claim resolution process.

• Foster professional relationships and communication with patients and payer representatives.

• Acquire knowledge and apply client-specific protocols and procedures.

• Utilize web portals, client systems, and databases to document and resolve accounts.

• Identify recent payer resolution patterns and communicate them to colleagues.

• Proactively raise questions and concerns to the supervisor.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required.

• Prior claims experience is beneficial and preferred.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks, think critically, prioritize, and solve problems.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Self-motivated and disciplined individual.

• Proficient in using web-based client and payer portals.

• Skilled in utilizing notation databases.

• Must have a dedicated, distraction-free workspace at home.

• A valid government-issued photo ID is required for screening and/or interviews.

• Must reside in one of the priority states: Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Maine, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, or West Virginia.
