This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Conduct scheduled diabetic eye examinations and retinal screenings for members at provider facilities.
• Travel to provider offices and patient residences for arranged eye exam appointments.
• Utilize company-owned retinal imaging technology.
• Aid in addressing eye exam and associated quality gaps.
• Complete the provided training on retinal imaging tools and eye examination protocols.
• Maintain expertise through continuous training as necessary.
• Oversee a daily schedule of eye exam appointments.
• Confirm appointments with both practices and patients ahead of time.
• Organize travel arrangements.
• Interact virtually with team members, internal stakeholders, customers, providers, payers, and care teams on non-appointment days.
• Establish and nurture professional relationships with stakeholders.
• Contribute to quality enhancement, reporting, patient outreach, and customer satisfaction efforts.
• Adhere to security protocols to safeguard PHI, PII, and company intellectual property.
• Participate in virtual meetings with cameras activated during designated work hours.
• Willingness and capability to travel daily, up to 100%, to provider locations.
• Must be a local resident in the Houston, TX area.
• No prior experience in eye examinations or imaging is necessary; comprehensive training and equipment will be provided.
• A valid driver’s license and dependable transportation are required.
• An associate degree or higher in a relevant discipline.
• A minimum of 1–3 years of experience in a healthcare environment.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, quality metrics, medical billing, or coding.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and various healthcare-related systems or applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Capability to collaborate effectively with management, colleagues, customers, providers, payers, and care teams.
• Capacity to work autonomously in a remote setting.
• Internet connection with a minimum of 100 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds.
• Ability to safeguard PHI, PII, and Guidehealth intellectual property.
• Certification or licensure as a healthcare professional, such as CMA or LPN, is preferred.
