This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
β’ Conduct scheduled diabetic eye examinations and retinal screenings for members at provider facilities.
β’ Travel to provider offices and patients' homes for prearranged appointments.
β’ Operate retinal imaging equipment supplied by the company.
β’ Assist in closing quality gaps related to eye exams.
β’ Complete the training provided by the company prior to conducting independent exams.
β’ Maintain proficiency through ongoing training as required.
β’ Oversee daily scheduling of eye exam appointments.
β’ Confirm appointments with both practices and patients in advance.
β’ Organize travel arrangements.
β’ Engage virtually with team members, internal partners, customers, providers, payers, and care teams on non-appointment days.
β’ Develop and nurture strong working relationships with stakeholders.
β’ Execute duties that support quality improvement, reporting, patient outreach, and customer success.
β’ Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
β’ Willingness and ability to travel daily, up to 100%, to provider practices in the Houston, TX area.
β’ Must be a local resident of the Houston, TX area.
β’ Previous experience in eye exams or imaging is not necessary; comprehensive training and equipment will be provided.
β’ Valid driver's license and dependable transportation are required.
β’ An associate degree or higher in a related field is necessary.
β’ A minimum of 1β3 years of experience in a healthcare environment is required.
β’ Familiarity with medical terminology, quality measures, medical billing, or coding is preferred.
β’ Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and various healthcare-related systems or applications.
β’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
β’ Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities are necessary.
β’ Capability to meet strict deadlines.
β’ Ability to collaborate effectively with management, colleagues, customers, providers, payers, and care teams.
β’ Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
β’ Required internet speed of at least 100 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload.
β’ Ability to safeguard PHI, PII, and company intellectual property while adhering to security policies.
β’ Certification or licensure as a healthcare professional, such as CMA or LPN, is preferred.
