This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Conduct scheduled diabetic eye examinations and retinal screenings for members at provider locations.
• Travel to provider offices and patient residences for pre-arranged eye exam appointments.
• Utilize company-supplied retinal imaging technology.
• Assist in addressing eye exam and associated quality gaps.
• Complete training on retinal imaging devices and eye examination protocols prior to performing exams independently.
• Maintain proficiency through continuous training.
• Oversee daily scheduling of eye exam appointments.
• Confirm appointments with both practices and patients ahead of time.
• Organize travel arrangements.
• Establish and nurture professional relationships with colleagues, customers, providers, payers, and care teams.
• Carry out responsibilities that support quality enhancement, reporting, patient outreach, and customer success.
• Participate in virtual engagements with team members and partners on non-appointment days.
• Willingness and capacity to travel daily, up to 100%, to provider sites.
• Must be a local resident of the Houston, TX area.
• No previous experience in eye examinations or imaging necessary; comprehensive training and equipment will be supplied.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• An associate degree or higher in a relevant field.
• At least 1–3 years of experience in a healthcare environment.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, quality measures, medical billing, or coding.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and healthcare-related systems or applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Capability to meet strict deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with management, colleagues, customers, providers, payers, and care teams.
• Capacity to work independently in a remote setting.
• Employees must provide their own internet connection with minimum speeds of 100 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload.
