This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Conduct scheduled diabetic eye examinations and retinal screenings for members at healthcare provider locations and in patients' homes.
• Utilize company-supplied retinal imaging technology.
• Assist in addressing gaps related to eye exams and quality assurance.
• Travel extensively, up to 100%, within the Philadelphia, PA area for prearranged appointments.
• Complete company-sponsored training on retinal imaging tools and eye examination processes prior to performing exams independently.
• Maintain proficiency through continuous training as required.
• Oversee daily scheduling for eye exam appointments.
• Confirm appointments with both practices and patients ahead of time.
• Organize travel arrangements.
• Engage with team members, internal stakeholders, customers, providers, payers, and care teams virtually on days without appointments.
• Foster and sustain professional relationships with colleagues, customers, providers, payers, and care teams.
• Contribute to quality enhancement, reporting, patient outreach, and customer satisfaction.
• Safeguard PHI, PII, and Guidehealth intellectual property by adhering to security protocols and policies.
• Willingness and capability to travel daily, up to 100%, to provider practices.
• Must be a local resident in the Philadelphia, PA area.
• No prior experience in eye exams or imaging is necessary; comprehensive training and equipment will be provided.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation.
• An associate degree or higher in a relevant field is required.
• A minimum of 1–3 years of experience in a healthcare environment is needed.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, quality metrics, medical billing, or coding is preferred.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and various healthcare-related systems or applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities are required.
• Capability to meet strict deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with management, colleagues, customers, providers, payers, and care teams.
• Capability to work autonomously in a remote setting.
• Internet connection with a minimum of 100 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds is necessary.
• Certification or licensure as a healthcare professional, such as CMA or LPN, is desirable.
• Travel to and from appointments is covered by the company.
