
Retail Construction Project Manager – 14-Month Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
• Assist the North American SSP and Construction team.
• Oversee project management and organization of retail shop fit-outs, encompassing new construction, refits, refreshes, closures, and maintenance.
• Manage CapEx, prepare estimates, validate project actuals, and update CapEx forecasts.
• Plan and implement project schedules in conjunction with Retailers, SSP, Real Estate leasing, and Finance.
• Stay updated on global retail construction best practices and align operational methodologies.
• Maintain and enhance project status and CapEx reports.
• Aid the retail team in interpreting construction information that impacts the business.
• Provide hands-on support and installation during shop openings, refits, refreshes, and closures.
• Evaluate business needs and offer forward-thinking insights.
• Optimize reporting processes for internal and external stakeholders.
• Offer project-specific support to Retailers, retail store teams, Shop and Space Planning, Property/Leasing, and Finance.
• Keep abreast of products, design methods, and merchandising to enhance sales and customer service.
• Collaborate with SSP designers to execute retail projects.
• Deliver outstanding customer service.
• Perform additional duties as required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in retail construction and project management, with a strong emphasis on budget management in the US.
• Proven experience in a project lead capacity.
• Strong skills in budget analysis and management.
• Experience with phased construction projects in both newly opened and existing retail environments.
• Practical hands-on experience overseeing the design and construction process.
• Knowledge of carpentry and millwork is a plus.
• Ability to cultivate relationships and leverage business partners effectively.
• Capacity to multitask and manage competing priorities efficiently.
• Understanding of retail design and in-house competencies.
• Proficient in assisting with and installing company furniture and understanding retail-space components.
• Ability to interpret M.E.P., architectural, and structural plans.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to work additional hours as required.
• Ability to work autonomously in a collaborative and creative setting.
• Strong collaboration skills with experience working closely with designers.
• Capacity to adapt to change and adopt a holistic view of the business.

• Must be located in the United States.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; must possess a valid passport.
• Preferred: familiarity or expertise with Concur, CAD, and Google Suite.
• Preferred: PMP and LEED certifications.
