Resilient Watersheds Project Manager, Europe

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee and promote watershed-scale nature-based solution projects that align with TNC’s conservation strategy in Europe.

• Report directly to the Program Director for Resilient Watersheds in Europe.

• Collaborate with conservation and policy teams throughout Europe and with TNC’s global network of freshwater nature-based solutions experts.

• Act as the primary external contact between the Resilient Watersheds Programme in Europe and its project partners.

• Synchronize TNC's expertise, resources, and networks with the needs of partner organizations.

• Manage TNC's involvement across various projects.

• Set timelines and ensure the successful execution of agreed-upon activities.

• Work within a matrix of European and global TNC teams.

• Oversee TNC Europe budgets.

• Monitor project performance and report results in line with TNC objectives and grant agreement stipulations.

• Assist the Programme Director in crafting strategies, plans, and materials for engaging donors, businesses, and policymakers.

• Contribute to expanding the programme’s impact and outreach.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree along with 3 years of experience in natural resource management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Proven experience in building relationships and working closely with diverse partners, including media, government officials, and internal scientists.

• Ability to complete tasks independently while adhering to timelines.

• Proficient in communicating through written, verbal, and graphical formats in English and other relevant languages.

• Familiarity with common software applications such as Word, Excel, and web browsers.

• Experience in training others.

• Must possess a valid driver's license.

• Multilingual skills, especially in French and Spanish, are valued.

• Cross-cultural or multicultural experience is appreciated.

• 3–5 years of experience in water and land management practices or policy, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Understanding of Nature-based Solutions principles.

• Knowledge of ecological watershed management concepts.

• Awareness of current trends and practices in conservation, water management, and environmental economics.

• Successful completion of The Nature Conservancy's background screening process.
