
Residential Energy Auditor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Conduct on-site residential energy audits that encompass HVAC systems, insulation, windows, lighting, appliances, and the building envelope.
• Utilize blower doors, combustion analyzers, infrared cameras, and various diagnostic tools to evaluate air leakage and energy performance.
• Gather and analyze utility data, homeowner usage trends, and building specifications.
• Input audit information into designated software tools and prioritize recommendations for energy savings.
• Inform homeowners and residents about energy-saving opportunities, available rebates, and best practices.
• Carry out post-installation inspections to confirm the completion and effectiveness of energy upgrades.
• Ensure adherence to applicable standards and program requirements.
• Collaborate with contractors, utility representatives, and program managers.
• Maintain accurate records and submit documentation punctually.
• Review QA/QC findings and assist in quality control for the HEAR program.
• Work cross-functionally to enhance Resource Innovations’ program solutions.
• Must reside in Metro Arizona.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• An associate or bachelor’s degree in energy, construction, environmental science, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in field services, quality control/quality assurance, consulting, energy efficiency, or utility work.
• Must possess a current BPI Building Analyst Certification (BPI BA); candidates without this certification will not be considered.
• Strong knowledge of building science and construction, along with necessary technical expertise.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• HERS and RESNET Rater certification is preferred.
• Availability to travel 25% to 75% of the time, with limited overnight travel required.
• Experience with SnuggPro is a plus.
• An interest in sustainability and a commitment to environmental impact.
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
• Bilingual candidates who speak Spanish are preferred.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Strong business ethics, including the safeguarding of proprietary and confidential information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.

• Ability to independently apply detailed organizational procedures and act as a reliable resource for senior management.
