This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and implement analytical studies, methodologies, and protocols.
• Participate in the development of concept proposals, scopes of work, budgets, and analytical plans.
• Conduct descriptive and advanced statistical analyses utilizing extensive patient and/or claims databases.
• Create and write study reports and publications.
• Manage workflow autonomously and contribute directly to research and analysis efforts.
• Spot opportunities for innovation for clients within the policy analytics team.
• Ensure compliance with Avalere Health’s policies, procedures, and mission statement.
• Analyze topics such as health reform, Affordable Care Act exchanges, payer benefit designs, Medicare Advantage and Part D, Medicare reform, Medicaid, state health policies, and federal budget matters.
• Offer legislative strategy, regulatory analysis, and quantitative modeling advisory services to clients in the healthcare industry.
• BA/BS or MA/MS in economics, mathematics, statistics, data science, health policy, public administration, public policy, public health, epidemiology, statistics, or a related field.
• Over 4 years of experience in consulting, healthcare, academia, or the pharmaceutical/device industry.
• Extensive technical knowledge in health economics, policy research, and analytical designs.
• Expertise in designing and executing analytical studies using large administrative pharmacy and medical claims databases (both public and private).
• Proficiency in statistical software packages such as SAS, SQL, and/or STATA.
• Familiarity with advanced statistical techniques and/or econometric skills.
• Background in healthcare policy and analysis is advantageous.
• Exceptional writing, project management, communication, and presentation abilities.
• Capability to independently manage multiple workstreams with minimal supervision.
• Proven problem-solving, analytical reasoning, and decision-making skills.
• Strong dedication to achieving goals and meeting deadlines.
• Positive, adaptable, and self-motivated demeanor.
• Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
