This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct data management tasks to create datasets that are ready for analysis, including the processes of importing, transforming, merging, and validating data using SQL and/or SAS.
• Execute descriptive and fundamental statistical analyses using extensive patient and/or claims databases.
• Assist in economic and outcomes modeling, implement analysis plans, and support the strategic objectives of clients.
• Independently write and debug code.
• Address data-related issues and seek assistance for more complex methodological or client-impacting decisions.
• Participate in the development of concept proposals, scopes of work, budgets, and analysis plans.
• Manage workflow independently and make direct contributions to research and analysis.
• Collaborate within and across organizational analytics teams to identify opportunities for client innovation.
• Ensure the precision, quality, and consistency of analytical outputs.
• BA/BS or higher in fields such as computer science, economics, mathematics, statistics, data science, epidemiology, or a related discipline.
• Over 3 years of experience in SAS or SQL programming in a professional environment.
• Proven experience in analyzing large administrative pharmacy and medical claims databases from both public and private sectors.
• Proficiency in importing, transforming, cleaning, merging, and editing data.
• Extensive experience in quality and accuracy measurement.
• Working knowledge of basic statistical methods and/or econometric skills.
• Demonstrated abilities in problem-solving, analytical reasoning, and decision-making.
• Strong dedication to achieving goals and meeting deadlines.
• A positive, adaptable, and self-driven attitude.
• Exceptional teamwork skills and the ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Comfortable in a remote or hybrid working setup, showcasing the ability to be productive and self-directed.
• Background in healthcare policy and analysis.
• Experience in analyzing healthcare survey data, such as the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey and the Medicare Current Beneficiary Survey.
• Ability to interpret basic statistical outputs and analyses.
