Renewables Civil Designer – BESS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop comprehensive civil design solutions alongside the project engineer

• Implement industry design standards on development initiatives

• Mentor team members

• Anticipate and resolve potential design challenges

• Establish and enhance design and drafting standards

• Employ efficiency engineering in selecting designs

• Collaborate with engineering technicians and seasoned engineers

• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D for design work, focusing on road layouts, mass site grading, earthwork takeoffs, stormwater management, and erosion and sediment control plans

• Engage with clients to understand and fulfill their requirements

• Work alongside other disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects

• Assist in land development, design, and construction of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects

⛳️ Requirements

• An Associate or technical degree in Engineering Technology or an equivalent qualification is required

• A minimum of 6-8 years of progressive experience leading to a civil engineering technician role

• At least 3-4 years of experience in designing large land development projects is required

• Proven proficiency and working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is essential

• Expertise in large-scale site grading design, modifications to existing civil designs, and earthwork calculations is required

• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project

• Strong presentation and verbal/written communication skills

• Must possess analytical thinking and self-motivation

• Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations while maintaining a positive and enthusiastic demeanor

• Must have permanent authorization to work in the US

• Relevant military experience is a plus
