This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Assist the graphics department with sound design, music selection, and ProTools editing and mixing for animations, show materials, segments, network IDs, and specials.

• Handle popular music requests for show teams.

• Source music for shows and segments.

• Incorporate sound effects into animations.

• Maintain contracted music libraries.

• Advise on and distribute library music to the production staff and graphics department.

• Collaborate with control rooms, including operations, audio transfer, and upkeep of the DAD ENCO system.

• Monitor all music usage for submission to publishing agencies via SoundMouse.

• Oversee directors and production staff to ensure timely creation and submission of cue sheets.

• Manage associated computer networks for the transfer, playout, and utilization of music.

• Assist production staff and editors with music and sound design in edited pre-tape packages.

• Coordinate with Fox Publishing concerning music usage, reporting, and acquisition matters.

• Enforce the FCC’s CALM Act and monitor commercial volume using LKFS metering.

⛳️ Requirements

• A portfolio featuring a sound design reel or links must be provided for consideration.

• Proficiency in working swiftly within Pro Tools.

• Familiarity with SoundMouse.

• Competence in both Mac and PC environments.

• Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate last-minute availability, including possible unscheduled overtime due to breaking news or other production demands.
