Relief Merchandiser

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Jamaica.

📋 Description

• Merchandise and uphold all products distributed by the company in supermarkets and retail establishments.

• Ensure an appealing product presentation that aligns with the established planogram.

• Guarantee sufficient product availability and adherence to set compliance standards.

• Seek additional shelf-facing opportunities whenever possible.

• Identify appropriate locations for floor and shelf displays and secure retailer permissions.

• Construct displays and maintain display materials effectively.

• Install point-of-sale materials in strategic areas.

• Remove damaged and expired items from shelves promptly.

• Notify the Merchandising Supervisor, Regional Sales Manager, and Sales Representative of out-of-stock situations.

• Report significant activities, including competitors’ promotions and pricing strategies.

• Ensure accurate regular and promotional pricing, with a focus on in-store promotions.

• Foster positive relationships with retailers while upholding high standards.

• Prominently display assigned products.

• Monitor competitive product lines and communicate findings to the Supervisor.

• Operate independently to boost sales in various outlets.

• Adhere to reporting deadlines and meet designated sales targets.

• Implement special projects as directed.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 CSEC subjects.

• At least 1 year of experience in sales or marketing.

• Outstanding customer service skills.

• Experience in merchandising or retail is advantageous.

• Strong time management, customer service, and analytical abilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficient in computer usage.

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Self-driven and motivated.

• Capable of working independently and managing various responsibilities under pressure.

• Must be able to frequently stand, lift, push, twist, and climb.

• Occasional requirements include sitting, walking, reaching, kneeling, and bending.
