This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Eliminate bad actors and minimize unplanned downtime by assessing downtime, failure, and recurring work data.
• Oversee the assessment and prioritization of asset criticality throughout the plant network.
• Lead root cause analyses and eliminate failures that occur repeatedly.
• Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and establish enduring corrective measures.
• Create maintenance strategies that include preventive, predictive, condition-based, and lubrication approaches.
• Audit compliance with preventive maintenance and lubrication routines; enhance PM frequencies and lubrication strategies.
• Utilize vibration analysis, thermal imaging, ultrasonic testing, and Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles.
• Convert reliability initiatives into Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) work orders, PM modifications, and job plan updates.
• Ensure the quality of CMMS asset hierarchy, failure codes, and work order history data.
• Engage in weekly planning and scheduling evaluations.
• Communicate patterns of repeat failures and replicate successful solutions across different sites.
• Standardize reliability processes, tools, and a monthly reliability cadence.
• Provide training and mentorship to Site Reliability Owners, Local Work Owners, and technicians.
• Promote a proactive, planned, and data-driven culture focused on reliability.
• Monitor Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), asset availability, planned versus reactive work, and repeat failure KPIs.
• Utilize Pareto, Weibull, statistical, and life-data analysis methods.
• Report trends in reliability and improvement outcomes to Maintenance Managers and Corporate Leadership.
• Assist in asset lifecycle management, lifecycle cost analysis, spare parts optimization, commissioning, equipment modifications, and Management of Change (MOC).
• Ensure that reliability activities comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related Engineering field, or equivalent technical experience.
• Experience in reliability, maintenance, or engineering in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Proficient understanding of root cause analysis (RCA), FMEA, and preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies.
• Familiarity with CMMS/EAM systems like SAP PM, Maximo, or Infor.
• Capability to analyze failure and downtime data effectively.
• Willingness to travel across the plant network as needed.
• CMRP or CRE certification is preferred.
• Experience with vibration analysis, thermal imaging, ultrasonic testing, and lubrication programs is preferred.
• Knowledge of RCM and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is preferred.
• Background in asset criticality assessments and risk-based prioritization is preferred.
• Experience supporting multiple sites or a multi-plant network is preferred.
• Proficiency with statistical analysis tools and reliability KPIs is preferred.
• Experience in leading cross-functional reliability or continuous improvement initiatives is preferred.
• Background in developing training or capability-building programs is preferred.
• Familiarity with Process Safety Management (PSM) and mechanical integrity requirements in chemical or process manufacturing is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must successfully complete a drug test and background investigation.
• Must agree to additional periodic background checks as mandated by CFATS or other regulatory authorities.
