This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Provide engineering reliability support for the operations and maintenance of buildings, infrastructure, and equipment assets.

• Implement strategic asset management initiatives that incorporate building automation, energy management, maintenance programs, and life-cycle asset management.

• Develop methods for reliability analysis pertaining to components, equipment, and processes.

• Gather and analyze data from connected systems to enhance maintenance strategies and performance outcomes.

• Carry out maintenance maturity assessments, program audits, and audits of systems/equipment.

• Supervise root cause failure analyses and identify corrective actions.

• Integrate data from BAS, fault detection and diagnostics, maintenance, and capital planning for life-cycle analyses and recommendations on repair versus replacement.

• Support site-level Asset Management & Reliability programs, ensuring operational compliance, safety, regulatory adherence, cost reductions, and energy conservation.

• Coordinate with engineers, technicians, and external resources to implement cost-effective improvements.

• Create and refine preventative maintenance tasks, assessing asset criticality through Reliability Centered Maintenance methodologies.

• Conduct reliability studies, interpret technical drawings and schematics, and devise risk mitigation strategies.

• Explore new reliability technologies and assist in investigations of equipment failures.

• Plan and execute engineering operations, oversee operations center systems, implement RCM programs, and perform assessments of equipment conditions.

• Identify and manage systems for continuous improvement related to chronic bad-actor equipment.

• Maintain precise CMMS equipment records, plans, specifications, BOMs, and failure histories.

• Develop and uphold equipment reliability KPIs and maintenance/reliability metrics.

• Collaborate with Maintenance and Planning teams.

• Conduct facility condition assessments across laboratories, manufacturing sites, offices, and distribution centers in the Americas.

• Inspect, document, and prioritize asset and field conditions to assess remaining useful life.

• Compile findings across the portfolio for capital planning and life-cycle asset management.

• Provide support for commissioning related to upgrades, renovations, and construction projects.

• Perform other assigned tasks.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline; mechanical or electrical preferred.

• Five to ten years of experience in implementing RCM and CbM/PdM methods, operating building automation and energy management systems, and applying asset management, data analytics, and capital planning techniques.

• Experience with building automation systems and automated fault detection and diagnostics integrated with connected systems.

• Preferred experience in critical or regulated environments, such as data centers, laboratories, manufacturing, automotive, petrochemicals, or pharmaceuticals.

• Extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire suppression systems.

• Comprehensive understanding of various facility types, including commercial, critical, manufacturing, laboratory, or distribution facilities.

• Proficiency in using various computerized maintenance management systems and IT tools.

• Capable of reading, understanding, and utilizing technical manuals and reference materials.

• Ability to make informed recommendations based on incomplete data sets.

• Skilled in balancing the requirements of multiple stakeholders.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel with the capability to manipulate large data sets using various spreadsheet formats.

• Certified Reliability Leader preferred.

• Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional preferred.

• Level 2 thermography certification preferred.

• Level 2 vibration certification preferred.

• Level 2 ultrasound certification preferred.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
