Release Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You are responsible for planning, controlling, and coordinating software releases, service packs, and hotfixes from preparation to successful deployment.

• Collaborating with Product Management, Software Development, Quality Assurance, and other stakeholders, you align release content to ensure a seamless process.

• You manage release activities across various teams while maintaining control over schedules, priorities, and dependencies at all times.

• Proactively monitoring milestones and critical dependencies, you initiate appropriate actions as necessary.

• You guarantee that release processes, quality standards, and regulatory requirements (ISO 13485, ISO 9001, MDR, IEC 62304) are consistently met.

• Supporting compliance reviews with confidence, you ensure that all documentation relevant to releases is complete and ready for audits.

• Contributing your expertise to internal and external audits, you assist in their successful preparation and execution.

• You facilitate release meetings, mediate differing interests, and provide transparency for all stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess several years of experience in Release Management or Release Engineering and have successfully overseen software releases in regulated environments.

• Your strengths lie in release strategy, governance, and managing complex releases across multiple products.

• You are well-versed in regulatory quality management and release requirements, including MDR, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and IEC 62304.

• You have a solid understanding of CI/CD, release automation, and deployment orchestration, applying these effectively in practice.

• Familiarity with application architectures, APIs, as well as environment and configuration management allows you to consider the requirements of Cloud/SaaS and on-premise environments in your release planning.

• You confidently facilitate release decision meetings (even under regulatory constraints) and guide Go/No-Go decisions.

• Continuously improving release processes, you define meaningful metrics and actively contribute to optimizing Release Management.

• Ideally, your profile includes experience with container and deployment technologies.
