Release Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete release process to ensure a cohesive customer experience.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to expedite tasks and guarantee punctual releases.

• Optimize installation procedures to shorten Proof-of-Concept timelines and enhance customer satisfaction.

• Work closely with development teams to create and uphold dependable software.

• Utilize GitHub for version control and teamwork.

• Apply automation methods to boost release efficiency and dependability.

• Design, support, and enhance the platform using Golang and Kubernetes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 6 years of experience in release management or a comparable role in a software development setting.

• Proficiency with GitHub Actions, Kubernetes or OpenShift, and a programming/scripting language such as Golang or Python.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.

• Strong preference for experience with Golang.

• Capability to read and understand Golang, along with the skills to troubleshoot or debug Golang code is highly desired.

• Certifications in Kubernetes, project management, or related areas.

• Extensive release management experience for cloud service providers is highly preferred.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in diverse team settings.
