Relationship Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Facilitate evidence-based therapeutic sessions for families, couples, and individuals, either in-person or through telehealth platforms.

• Maintain a manageable individual therapy caseload, which may vary depending on the relationship therapy workload and referral influx.

• Evaluate family dynamics, couples, and individuals in diverse relationship configurations to discern emotional, behavioral, and psychological requirements.

• Create and execute goal-focused treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team.

• Complete clinical documentation in accordance with Athena protocols and state regulations.

• Ensure that clinical notes and client information are current and accurate within the existing EHR system.

• Provide conflict resolution and crisis intervention as necessary.

• Participate in regular clinical supervision to foster professional growth and ensure client well-being.

• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team to deliver high-quality clinical services.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's Degree from an accredited institution in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or a closely related discipline.

• Preference for candidates with a LMFT license; LCSW, LMSW, or LMHC licenses will also be considered.

• LMFT or LMHC applicants should have, or be in the process of obtaining, the NYS diagnostic privilege.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred.

• A strong passion for serving underserved communities, along with exceptional engagement, entrepreneurial, and interpersonal skills.

• Previous experience with computerized appointment scheduling systems and/or electronic medical record systems.

• Familiarity with NYS OMH Outpatient Clinic regulations, HIPAA standards, and NYS mandated reporting requirements.

• Detail-oriented with a focus on outcomes.

• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

• Demonstrated accountability and integrity.

• Exceptional attention to detail while managing multiple tasks.

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

• Exhibits emotional intelligence in personal interactions.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

• Proficient computer skills, including expertise in Word, Excel, G-Suite, and other software applications.

• Must be capable of hearing and speaking on the phone or computer throughout the day, standing and sitting for extended periods, writing and responding to emails, and lifting objects up to 25 pounds when necessary.
