This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Address billing-related questions from patients, providers, and other internal stakeholders through incoming calls.

• Interact with patients via phone, email, and live chat.

• Assist clinicians, insurers, and management to ensure timely account collections.

• Manage aged accounts.

• Investigate and reconcile credit balance accounts and make adjustments as necessary.

• Review patient insurance coverage for genetic testing services.

• Accurately document activities in process notes.

• Participate in the Quality Assurance program.

• Adhere to relevant CLIA and HIPAA regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.

• At least 1 year of experience in customer service or call center roles, with a preference for backgrounds in medical billing, health insurance, or collections.

• Strong customer service and phone communication skills, alongside effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Exceptional time management, organizational, communication, multitasking, and teamwork skills.

• Experience in insurance billing with a solid understanding of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding is preferred.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.

• Capability to perform light work or exert up to 20 pounds of force regularly.

• Ability to meet physical requirements such as stationary positioning, moving, operating, ascending/descending, communicating, observing, pushing or pulling, and reaching.

• Proficiency in the use of equipment and tools necessary for executing essential job functions.

• Commitment to complying with relevant CLIA and HIPAA regulations.
