
Reimbursement Specialist – Patient Accounts

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Address billing inquiries from patients, providers, and internal clients via inbound calls.
• Interact with patients through telephone, email, and live chat.
• Assist clinicians, insurers, and the management team to ensure timely account collections.
• Manage aged accounts.
• Investigate and reconcile credit balance accounts and make adjustments as necessary.
• Assess patient insurance coverage for genetic testing.
• Accurately document activities in process notes.
• Contribute to the Quality Assurance program.
• Adhere to relevant CLIA and HIPAA regulations.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service/call center, preferably in medical billing, health insurance, or collections.
• Strong customer service and telephone communication skills, along with effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Exceptional time management, organizational, communication, multitasking, and teamwork capabilities.
• Experience in insurance billing with a solid understanding of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding is preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
• Capability to lift up to 20 pounds regularly.
• Ability to perform tasks such as stationary positioning, moving, operating, ascending/descending, communicating, observing, pushing or pulling, and reaching.
• Proficiency in using equipment and tools necessary for executing essential job functions.
