Regulatory Law Expert

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop evaluation tasks for AI systems functioning within the realms of regulatory compliance and government affairs.

• Create scenarios that encompass compliance program design, agency investigations, enforcement actions, and rulemaking or comment processes.

• Design tasks across various sectors including financial services, healthcare and FDA, antitrust and competition, data privacy and cybersecurity, as well as environmental and energy regulation.

• Formulate scenarios that involve regulatory tracking platforms, compliance management systems, and agency filing systems.

• Implement methodologies for regulatory interpretation, compliance risk assessment, and enforcement response strategies.

• Generate reference compliance memoranda, regulatory filings, and enforcement response documents.

• Develop rubrics that differentiate authentic regulatory judgment from standard law school or bar exam recall.

• Collaborate with esteemed researchers on initiatives aimed at training and improving AI systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a regulatory attorney or compliance counsel at a prominent law firm, regulated entity, or governmental agency.

• Direct responsibility for regulatory compliance programs, interactions with agencies, or enforcement matters.

• Proficiency in regulatory tools.

• Knowledge of administrative processes and agency rulemaking.

• Qualification in U.S. regulatory law, including the Administrative Procedure Act and agency-specific statutes/regulations, or international regulatory law, covering EU regulatory frameworks and UK regulatory bodies.

• A recognized professional credential is highly preferred (JD with bar admission, or an equivalent international qualification).

• Previous experience in authorship of rubrics, training, or compliance documentation is advantageous.

• Ability to function as an independent contractor is essential.

• H1-B and STEM OPT candidates are not eligible.
