This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Deliver personalized virtual nutrition counseling through one-on-one sessions based on evidence-based practices.
• Perform in-depth assessments and create individualized care plans tailored to clients’ health histories, aspirations, preferences, and lifestyles.
• Address clients’ nutritional requirements utilizing medical nutrition therapy, offering practical advice on meal planning and dining out, along with interpreting relevant lab results and providing supplementation guidance within your professional scope.
• Employ collaborative goal-setting and behavior change techniques to assist clients in developing sustainable habits.
• Foster strong, supportive relationships that promote consistency and encourage long-term engagement.
• Keep precise, timely clinical documentation and ensure client follow-up.
• Oversee your appointment schedule and maintain up-to-date availability.
• Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) in good standing with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Valid Connecticut license.
• Professional liability insurance.
• Experience in providing outpatient nutrition care or personalized nutrition counseling.
• A solid clinical background in medical nutrition therapy and evidence-based practices.
• Capability to convert clinical recommendations into feasible, actionable steps.
• An empathetic and collaborative approach that honors each client's goals, circumstances, and readiness for change.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation abilities.
• Comfort with independent work and utilizing digital tools for virtual care delivery.
• Current or prior credentialing with commercial insurance plans, especially in Connecticut (preferred).
• Experience in supporting clients through ongoing nutrition counseling (preferred).
• Familiarity with delivering care via telehealth (preferred).
• Additional state licenses or credentials (preferred).
