This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Join Hitachi Energy’s Service Business as a Technical Sales Consultant, serving as a liaison between sales teams and customers across various regions.
• Travel to client locations, identify and cultivate service opportunities, and provide solutions for power transformers and high-voltage breakers.
• Conduct on-site evaluations and technical consultations to uncover service opportunities and create customized solutions for grid assets.
• Offer technical assistance regarding electrical testing, controls, and oil processing to aid customer decision-making.
• Work collaboratively with engineering, safety, and planning teams to ensure smooth project execution and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Deliver technical support on proposals, scopes, and quotes that meet customer requirements and foster service sales growth.
• Establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders in the utilities, EPCs, and industrial sectors.
• Provide technical assistance for field activities, generate comprehensive reports, and maintain accurate records in CRM systems.
• Represent Hitachi Energy at industry events, sharing knowledge and enhancing market presence.
• Ensure adherence to relevant external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
• Candidates must possess valid work authorization to be employed by Hitachi Energy in the United States.
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• At least 10+ years of experience in the field with transformers and high-voltage breakers, including a minimum of 4+ years as a field crew leader.
• Proven ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office; ability to learn and utilize CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-centric approach.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites (50-60% travel) and operate company vehicles/equipment, with comfort in substation environments.
