This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee all service-related activities for dealerships and customers.
• Ensure customer satisfaction with service operations.
• Provide assistance to customers and dealers in troubleshooting and resolving service-related issues.
• Manage overall service performance and customer satisfaction within the designated region.
• Collaborate with dealerships and customers to develop corrective action plans for addressing service delivery gaps.
• Monitor, report, and follow up on product and technical issues.
• Work proactively alongside the Autocar Solutions Team.
• Review dealership service operations and recommend improvements, including necessary tooling.
• Advocate for and ensure that dealerships employ Autocar-trained technicians to manage workloads.
• Cultivate and sustain strong relationships within customer organizations.
• Maintain customer trust in the Autocar product line.
• Foster relationships with Regional Business Managers and National Account Sales teams.
• Coordinate with engineering and technical service departments to achieve service performance and quality standards.
• Organize cost-effective, self-managed travel itineraries.
• Execute additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university, or three to five years of relevant experience and/or training, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
• Class B Commercial Driver License or the ability to obtain one.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification or the ability to obtain it.
• Cummins Certification is preferred.
• Allison Certification is preferred.
• Capability to achieve Autocar Master Technician Certification.
• Prior experience in the Heavy-Duty Truck industry is essential.
• Experience in the refuse industry is preferred.
• Proficient in calculating figures and amounts, including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Ability to apply fundamental algebra and geometry concepts.
• Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Familiarity with AXIS (Team Center Engineering - IMAN, QAD, ADNET) is preferred.
• Capability to sit at a desk for extended periods while utilizing computer-aided design software.
• Able to stand, walk, and bend during lab testing or visits to the production floor.
• Capacity to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Visual acuity for reviewing detailed schematics, inspecting prototypes, and working with computer screens.
