
Regional Sales Manager – Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.
• Propel revenue enhancement, channel partner development, business growth, key account management, and overall commercial success across Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia.
• Spearhead the implementation of GSSI's regional growth strategy through distributors, resellers, and strategic clients.
• Discover opportunities to fortify the regional sales framework and cultivate resources, partnerships, and capabilities for sustainable growth.
• Formulate and implement sales strategies that align with the company's vision and business goals.
• Create territory plans and country-specific growth strategies to fulfill bookings, revenue, and strategic growth targets.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product Management, Technical Support, and Operations on product launches, customer engagement, and regional growth initiatives.
• Assist in establishing and assessing quarterly OKRs across partners and direct staff.
• Determine staffing needs and recruit, develop, lead, coach, and mentor regional employees and technical resources.
• Establish and review quarterly sales targets and performance metrics with the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
• Conduct business reviews with distributors, resellers, and key accounts; identify growth opportunities and formulate corrective action plans.
• Maintain a precise sales pipeline and monthly forecasts using Salesforce and conduct regular reviews with channel partners.
• Represent the company at industry events and trade shows.
• Develop, manage, and assess regional distributors and channel partners.
• Gather and communicate Voice of Customer, competitive intelligence, and market trends to support product development, marketing, and strategic planning.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 10 years of industry experience is preferred.
• Experience with ground penetrating radar or similar technical instrumentation is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or channel management, including managing distributors, resellers, or strategic accounts.
• Previous leadership or personnel management experience is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior management, direct sales, other departments, and customers in an emotionally intelligent, accurate, and timely manner.
• Strong attention to detail, a growth-oriented mindset, a “can-do” attitude, and a proven ability to promote teamwork.
• Advanced computer skills, including demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com.
• Must be willing to travel within the territory up to 50% of the time.
• Professional fluency in both Japanese and English is required.
• Fluency in Korean or another Southeast Asian language is highly desirable.
• Ability to talk, hear, utilize fine motor skills, stand, walk, sit, reach, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and lift or carry up to 90 lbs.
