
Regional Sales Manager – Climate Control

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Mentor and cultivate leadership and sales representatives at the branch level to enhance regional revenue.
• Create and implement sales training programs, meeting formats, and accountability initiatives.
• Oversee assigned customers, projects, initiatives, key accounts, and strategic clients.
• Convey sales strategies to senior management and supervise field-level execution and acceptance.
• Provide performance updates and analytics relative to the established plans.
• Set and enforce Climate Control sales standards.
• Report to the Regional Manager while operating under the guidance of the Director of Sales.
• Mentor and guide branch managers and Sales Representatives.
• Manage regional financial outcomes, including sales, revenue, and expense controls.
• Establish individual sales targets with sales teams and branch managers.
• Assist in designs, take-offs, proposal calculations, and the acquisition of large projects.
• Collaborate with company leaders to promote cross-selling of products, solutions, and services.
• Implement divisional sales strategies effectively.
• Analyze pricing and lead annual rate assessments for strategic clients.
• Develop and execute a strategic sales calendar for the next 12 months.
• Monitor competitive landscape and create action plans for market growth.
• Advocate for heating, cooling, drying, and indoor air quality solutions.
• Create sales presentations and coach OSRs on their presentation techniques.
• Travel to job sites for inspections, presentations, and customer meetings.
• Track significant projects and climate control customers within the region.
• Review large proposals to optimize closing rates.
• Lead Sales CRM initiatives and accountability across branches.
• Utilize KPIs and reporting to steer profitable revenue practices.
• Implement sales training programs and conduct internal/external webinars.
• Offer technical RFQ support and prepare technical proposals, submittals, and contingency strategies.
• Assist in onboarding branch managers, OSRs, SCRs, and ERs.
• Develop and maintain KPI dashboards and perform quarterly performance evaluations.
• Create calendars and agendas for branch sales meetings and participate in meetings for coaching purposes.
• Attend weekly and bi-weekly RSM calls, providing updates on financials and priorities.
• Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in sales and/or sales leadership.
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
• Ability to operate strategically as well as tactically.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with all levels, including executive leadership.
• Strong follow-up abilities and the capacity to adapt mid-process to achieve targeted objectives.
• Proficient training, coaching, and presentation skills.
• Technical and mechanical aptitude, with the ability to instruct, train, and showcase product features and benefits.
