This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.
• Oversee a designated region as outlined by the US President of Sales.
• Serve as the primary liaison between clients and the organization, prioritizing face-to-face meetings.
• Cultivate and strengthen robust client relationships.
• Schedule 20 high-quality face-to-face meetings each month with key decision-makers.
• Plan and attend in-person appointments, efficiently managing travel and time; travel will typically span a few days at a time, with 2–3 weeks out of every 4.
• Follow up on all opportunities within 48 hours, with assistance from the broader sales team.
• Maintain regular monthly contact with clients and keep top-level contacts updated on new product launches within two weeks.
• Formulate and execute sales strategies aimed at achieving or surpassing sales targets.
• Analyze data and provide recommendations on strategic approaches to optimize area sales.
• Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
• Take ownership of major projects, ensuring a strategic plan is in place for each.
• Achieve or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Pineapple products and sell them with confidence.
• Develop account plans tailored to clients’ needs, objectives, and growth potential.
• Articulate the value proposition of Pineapple’s products or services effectively.
• Keep clients updated on new developments or enhancements.
• Negotiate terms and conditions of sales agreements.
• Close deals and finalize contracts with clients.
• Collaborate with marketing, product development, and customer support teams to ensure a smooth client experience and address any issues.
• Monitor industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to uncover new business opportunities.
• Collect and communicate customer feedback for continuous improvement.
• Develop strategies for client retention and minimize churn.
• Identify opportunities for contract renewals or extensions.
• Perform additional duties as required.
• Experience in business development, account management, or commercial sales.
• A strong sales-oriented mindset, capable of nurturing existing relationships while being eager to win new business.
• A valid driving license.
• Willingness to travel frequently, sometimes on short notice, and stay overnight as necessary.
• Expect to spend approximately 2 - 3 days per week with clients.
• A natural talent for identifying new opportunities and converting them into sales.
• Confident, approachable, and comfortable presenting to clients and senior stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing a busy sales pipeline and effectively following up on opportunities.
• Proficient in using CRM systems and sales data to manage accounts and recognize opportunities.
• Comfortable working towards targets, KPIs, and tight deadlines.
• Highly self-motivated, proactive, and driven to achieve results.
• Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of the factors that contribute to profitable growth.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
