This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Promote and sell Peerless-AV audio and AV solutions.
• Cultivate new business opportunities and enhance existing customer relationships within the designated region.
• Collaborate with dealers, distributors, customers, specifiers, end-users, and other key partners.
• Maximize profitable sales growth in the region and broaden Peerless-AV’s market presence.
• Provide an outstanding customer experience.
• Manage current accounts while establishing new ones through organized daily sales planning.
• Achieve regional sales objectives.
• Oversee the annual expense budget and ensure expenses remain below budget.
• Seek and secure new accounts.
• Report weekly sales-call data to management via the Sales and Marketing system.
• Monitor competitors and collect market information regarding pricing, products, delivery schedules, programs, and merchandising.
• Train dealer and distributor personnel on Peerless-AV products and sales methodologies.
• Develop and implement an annual regional sales plan.
• Suggest product, service, and policy modifications based on field insights.
• Investigate and address customer issues and complaints.
• Assist with market research as needed.
• Support other Peerless-AV sales representatives and associates in the field.
• Execute administrative tasks using appropriate company forms and procedures.
• Manage extensive travel efficiently.
• Provide strategic guidance to the Director of National Accounts, Managing Director, Commercial Sales, and VP of Sales & Marketing for North America & APAC.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years in outside sales or a related role.
• Extensive experience in Pro AV sales.
• Strong writing skills.
• Excellent verbal communication and listening abilities.
• Effective skills in sales presentations.
• Self-driven, energetic, and possess a strong work ethic.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills.
• Good judgment and a positive attitude.
• Proficient in using computers from remote locations.
• Proven track record of success in sales.
• Effective sales management abilities.
• Skills in strategic sales planning.
• High level of personal integrity.
• Must currently reside in California or Washington.
• Capability to manage extensive travel (50%) effectively.
• Ability to occasionally lift boxes/packages weighing between 2–50 lbs.
• Must be able to wear required safety Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
