This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Propel regional sales expansion through promotional campaigns, merchandising strategies, customer engagement tactics, and sanctioned sales initiatives.
• Establish and nurture partnerships with regional and local customer leadership.
• Collaborate with business units on merchandising endeavors, store renovations, new store initiatives, planogram execution, innovation center assistance, and strategic projects.
• Engage with regional customer decision-makers to unveil growth prospects and enhance relationships.
• Utilize customer and business analytics tools to assess performance, pinpoint trends, and propose actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with field merchandising and operations teams to tackle execution hurdles and resolve store-level challenges.
• Conduct field visits averaging four days weekly to ensure program implementation and collect customer insights.
• Facilitate and deliver training sessions for customer teams, merchandising partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Concentrate on key and new stores to optimize program adoption, product positioning, and incremental sales enhancement.
• Represent Emerson at customer meetings, regional training workshops, contractor events, industry exhibitions, and business development endeavors.
• Collect and disseminate market intelligence, competitive actions, pricing trends, merchandising prospects, and customer insights.
• Assist with account management tasks for designated regional customers and business partners.
• A valid driver's license and the capacity to travel within the assigned region.
• Proven experience in cultivating customer relationships and fostering sales growth within a retail, merchandising, consumer products, or related setting.
• Background in collaborating with large retail customers, field merchandising teams, or customer-facing sales organizations.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation abilities.
• Proficient in interpreting business data and leveraging insights to provide recommendations and drive actions.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
• Capability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the region, including overnight trips as business needs necessitate.
• Physical ability to lift and relocate product displays or materials, ascend ladders, and perform light merchandising tasks as required.
• Competence to operate safely in retail, warehouse, and light construction environments.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available.
• A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience supporting The Home Depot or a similar large retail organization is preferred.
• Background in retail merchandising, planogram management, store operations, or field execution programs is preferred.
• Familiarity with customer analytics platforms, supplier portals, and performance reporting tools is preferred.
• Knowledge of consumer products, tools, home improvement, or related industries is preferred.
• Experience conducting product training, customer education, or field support initiatives is preferred.
