This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Lead and motivate a team of Account Specialists to engage Pulmonologists, Allergists, and ENTs in promoting products consistent with our strategic goals.
• Create business plans and execute regional, sector, and national strategies to achieve objectives.
• Provide training, coaching, and support for the development of Account Specialists.
• Organize and conduct sales meetings to inform, train, and inspire representatives.
• Identify, recruit, and retain talented Account Specialists.
• Complete all necessary training, assessments, product certifications, and administrative tasks.
• Participate in local, regional, sector, and national meetings.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and matrix partners to achieve shared goals.
• Cultivate a performance-driven culture and exemplify GSK expectations.
• Adhere to GSK policies, practices, risk-based standards, and core values.
• Travel frequently within the designated territory and occasionally beyond.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical device sales.
• Willingness to travel domestically as needed, including overnight travel up to 25%.
• A valid driver’s license is necessary.
• Candidates must be capable and willing to drive or operate a vehicle; driving is a core responsibility.
• For Account Manager grade 6: at least 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech fields.
• For Account Manager grade 5: a minimum of 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech fields.
• A Master of Business Administration or an advanced degree in clinical or scientific fields is preferred.
• Military experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, presentation, and influencing abilities are preferred.
• Proven teamwork and leadership skills are preferred.
• At least 6 years of specialty management experience or relevant experience in headquarters is preferred.
• Proficiency in account-based and buy-and-bill sales or specialty pharmacy distribution models; 3+ years of experience preferred.
• Experience collaborating with Payer Reimbursement Managers is preferred.
• Experience in Biologic, Rare Disease, or Respiratory sales is preferred.
• Must complete all required training, testing, and product certifications within specified timeframes.
• Must fulfill required administrative responsibilities.
