This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Oversee the Southeast Regional Sales Director role for ViiV Healthcare's Injectable PrEP Sales Team.
• Align and implement business strategies across marketing, market access, product launches, multichannel customer engagement, and employee development.
• Prioritize and tailor regional investment in people and promotions to enhance local market growth.
• Incorporate regional healthcare ecosystem trends into business strategies, considering payer, economic, health-system, provider, value, quality, and competitive elements.
• Deliver and refine execution plans using KPIs, scaling successes, and resolving business challenges.
• Cultivate relationships with key customers and thought leaders.
• Recruit, hire, develop, and lead a high-performing team of Territory Account Managers targeting healthcare professionals.
• Enhance team capabilities and foster a diverse talent pool.
• Establish a coaching culture and apply situational leadership to optimize individual and team performance.
• Set the team culture, exemplify ViiV Expectations, and guide transitions through change management.
• Implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Identify and manage risks, allocate resources, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Comprehend state-level regulatory requirements to ensure compliant operations.
• Raise issues and risks, and inform central teams as needed.
• Apply the ViiV Compliance and Risk Framework at the regional level.
• Communicate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure adherence to ViiV policies, mandatory training, recognition, rewards, discipline, and people policies.
• BA/BS degree.
• Over 9 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, including more than 6 years in specialty management leading teams.
• Proven experience in recruiting, developing, and managing specialty teams within an integrated account team model.
• Background in leading specialty teams to launch and successfully deliver products.
• Experience in crafting strategic business plans with specific, measurable, action-oriented goals.
• Willingness to travel domestically as required, including overnight stays; spend the majority of time in the market with the team.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Specialty management experience with a record of leading high-performing teams.
• Proven track record in developing account managers and addressing underperformance.
• Strong skills in planning, organization, analysis, business acumen, decision-making, and problem-solving.
• Capability to influence without authority in a matrixed environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced degree in Business, Marketing, or Life Sciences is preferred.
• Experience in selling and delivering products in buy-and-bill reimbursement environments and collaborating with Specialty Pharmacies is preferred.
• Experience working with healthcare professionals to procure, manage, and administer cold chain treatment products is preferred.
• Knowledge of the HIV market is preferred.
