This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Oversee the Southeast Regional Sales Director role for ViiV Healthcare's HIV Prevention LAI injectable PrEP sales team.
• Recruit, onboard, and lead a high-performance team of Territory Account Managers selling to healthcare providers.
• Formulate strategic business plans that align with both national and regional objectives.
• Coordinate and implement business strategies across marketing, market access, product launches, multichannel customer engagement, and employee development.
• Prioritize and tailor regional personnel and promotional investments to enhance local-market growth.
• Incorporate regional healthcare ecosystem trends into business strategies, encompassing payer, economic, health-system, provider, value, quality, and competitive elements.
• Execute and adapt plans based on KPIs, successful scaling, and business problem-solving methodologies.
• Cultivate relationships with key customers and thought leaders.
• Enhance team capabilities and nurture a diverse talent pool.
• Foster a coaching culture and apply situational leadership to optimize individual and team performance.
• Establish a strong team culture, exemplify ViiV Expectations, and guide organizational transitions.
• Take corrective actions as needed.
• Identify and manage risks, allocate resources, and set execution priorities.
• Monitor state-level regulatory requirements to ensure compliant execution.
• Escalate issues and risks while maintaining communication with central teams.
• Apply the ViiV Compliance and Risk Framework at the regional level.
• Communicate standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure adherence to ViiV policies, including recognition, rewards, discipline, people policies, and mandatory training.
• Develop external partnerships with healthcare providers, community organizations, specialty pharmacies, alternate administration sites, and other healthcare stakeholders.
• BA/BS degree.
• Over 9 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, including more than 6 years in specialty management leading teams.
• Proven experience in recruiting, developing, and leading specialty teams within an integrated account team model with multiple field-based members.
• Demonstrated experience in guiding specialty teams for product launches and delivery.
• Skilled in developing strategic business plans with specific, measurable, action-oriented objectives.
• Willingness to travel domestically, including overnight stays; the majority of time will be spent in the market with the team.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Preferred: experience in specialty management leading top-performing teams.
• Preferred: history of developing account managers and addressing underperformance.
• Preferred: strong planning and organizational skills, analytical abilities, business acumen, decision-making capabilities, and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred: ability to influence without authority in a matrixed environment.
• Preferred: outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred: advanced degree in Business, Marketing, or Life Sciences.
• Preferred: experience in selling and delivering products in buy-and-bill reimbursement settings and collaborating with Specialty Pharmacies.
• Preferred: experience with healthcare providers for the procurement, management, and administration of cold-chain treatment products.
• Preferred: understanding of the HIV market.
