Regional Sales Director

📋 Description

• Oversee all commercial endeavors in the Central Region of the United States.

• Propel revenue growth, market development, customer satisfaction, and profitable business outcomes.

• Formulate and implement regional sales strategies that align with North America's growth objectives.

• Develop and execute annual business plans to meet revenue, margin, and market share goals.

• Assess market trends, competitive landscape, customer needs, and industry dynamics to uncover growth possibilities.

• Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic business initiatives and long-term commercial goals.

• Meet and surpass regional sales, profitability, and market penetration targets.

• Identify, cultivate, and secure new business opportunities across targeted verticals and geographical areas.

• Strengthen relationships with key customers, distributors, consultants, integrators, and channel partners.

• Drive strategic account planning and customer retention programs.

• Track sales performance metrics and implement necessary corrective measures.

• Mentor, coach, and develop Regional Sales Managers, Account Managers, and sales professionals.

• Set performance expectations, sales targets, and accountability frameworks.

• Conduct sales reviews, pipeline evaluations, and performance assessments.

• Promote collaboration, customer orientation, continuous improvement, and results-focused execution.

• Support talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement efforts.

• Engage with major customers and strategic partners to comprehend business challenges and opportunities.

• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, customer meetings, and professional organizations.

• Collect customer feedback and market insights to inform product strategy and business priorities.

• Collaborate with Marketing on regional demand generation and lead development initiatives.

• Work with Product Management to ensure customer needs align with product roadmaps.

• Partner with Operations and Customer Service to guarantee outstanding customer experiences.

• Assist in forecasting, business planning, pricing strategies, and inventory optimization.

• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecasting processes.

• Review and report on regional performance metrics, opportunities, risks, and market trends.

• Utilize CRM and sales analytics tools for informed decision-making.

• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and ethical business practices.


⛳️ Requirements

• Associate’s Degree required.

• 10+ years of progressive experience in sales leadership.

• 5+ years in a regional or national sales management position.

• Bachelor's degree preferred.

• Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding revenue growth objectives.

• Experience in leading geographically dispersed sales teams.

• Strong expertise in managing strategic accounts, channel partners, and complex sales cycles.

• Experience within industrial, safety, fire and life safety, building technologies, manufacturing, or related sectors is preferred.

• Proven ability in sales strategy development and execution.

• Proficient in pipeline management and forecasting.

• Skilled in contract negotiation and account management.

• Experience in business development and market growth.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.

• Capacity to influence executives, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
