This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Direct sales of CRM products and services from Abbott within the designated region.
• Identify and assess market opportunities and sales potential to set and achieve sales and clinical goals.
• Lead and mentor territory managers and clinical specialists.
• Fulfill training requirements to support CRM procedures and offer clinical coaching.
• Assist in contract negotiations, customer engagement, performance management, and the development of clinical competencies.
• Establish regional sales strategies and support the execution of the regional sales plan.
• Foster a safe learning environment and cultivate a positive team culture.
• Conduct weekly team calls, discovery workshops, regional meetings, and one-on-one discussions.
• Recruit, onboard, mentor, and develop team members.
• Set quarterly objectives, development plans, and conduct annual performance evaluations.
• Drive planning for customer and account engagement.
• Prepare regional sales forecasts, assess market potential, and estimate sales expenses.
• Ensure sales accountability and forecasting accuracy.
• Travel with the team to meet customers and facilitate clinical competencies and sales growth.
• Build cross-functional partnerships with marketing, training, enterprise accounts, and clinical trial teams.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Provide support for cases, plan proctoring, and resolve conflicts.
• Manage the annual regional budget and approve expense reports for direct reports.
• Complete vendor credentialing for hospital access as necessary.
• Stay informed about regulatory requirements, Abbott products, market dynamics, objectives, and industry trends.
• Address complex issues and devise innovative solutions.
• Mentor staff and advocate for solutions impacting organizational budgets or commitments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• Over 8 years of progressively responsible experience in Tachycardia/Bradycardia product areas or a related discipline, with direct CRM product sales experience preferred.
• Proven track record of sales and clinical performance in the cardiology/cardiovascular sector.
• Ability to lead workstreams and initiatives utilizing critical thinking abilities.
• Capability to direct and monitor the clinical and sales objectives, quality, outcomes, and performance metrics of direct reports.
• Proficiency in operating within a quality system environment and adhering to governmental regulations.
• Fact-based, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
• Verification of compliance with vendor credentialing requirements, which may include COVID-19 vaccination.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• Previous commercial and clinical trial experience in cardiology/cardiovascular is preferred.
• Documented success in leading sales and clinical teams is preferred.
• Experience with Abbott cardiovascular products will be given stronger consideration.
