Regional Manager, Site Installation Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the execution of installations across a regional portfolio of multiple customer projects, ensuring accountability for safety, quality, timeline, budget, and workforce performance.

• Mentor and develop Site Installation Managers through effective performance management, coaching, workforce planning, and deployment strategies.

• Supervise site readiness, mobilization, installation sequencing, resource allocation, and the transition to Commissioning.

• Manage performance execution across Symbotic teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and skilled trades.

• Collaborate with Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Safety, and Commissioning teams to address field issues, manage dependencies, and uphold project milestones.

• Track project schedules, installation efficiency, cost performance, and critical risks; implement recovery strategies and escalation processes as needed.

• Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations, customer standards, installation protocols, and site-specific safety measures.

• Create project controls and reporting mechanisms to monitor installation progress, resource requirements, risks, constraints, and milestones.

• Promote standardization in installation planning, estimation, execution, and project closure through lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Assist in recruitment, onboarding, training, and capability enhancement within the Site Installation organization.

• Facilitate the deployment of Symbotic’s automation systems on customer premises throughout the complete on-site installation lifecycle, which includes automation equipment, adapter cells, electrical and controls integration, and coordination with structural, racking, and construction partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required.

• A minimum of 10 years of advancing experience in industrial automation, material handling systems, construction management, systems integration, or complex equipment installations.

• At least 5 years of experience in people leadership, including oversight of field-based teams, site leaders, contractors, or skilled trades.

• Proven experience in delivering large-scale industrial automation, robotic, material handling, or AS/RS projects in active construction or customer settings.

• In-depth knowledge of installation planning, construction sequencing, project controls, subcontractor management, schedule oversight, and site execution.

• Capacity to manage several concurrent projects, balance regional resources, identify execution risks, and implement corrective measures.

• Excellent customer and stakeholder management abilities.

• Proficient in utilizing project metrics and data to assess performance, identify trends, and support continuous improvement efforts.

• Strong technical acumen related to installation requirements, constructability, design interfaces, and execution challenges.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and project scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project is preferred.

• Willingness to travel approximately 80% to customer locations throughout the Northeast and Central regions.

• Valid driver's license is required.

• Capability to drive and/or fly to client locations or the main office in Wilmington, MA.

• Must adhere to Lock out tag out and fall protection safety protocols.

• Ability to work at heights up to 45 feet and in confined spaces of 24 inches.

• Capacity to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to work in temperature ranges from 105° to 32° Fahrenheit.
